The guy needs a table!
This is me, today, just before our group ride at the Huffman Trails near Dayton, Ohio. I am about to notice how much time my friend Andy spends bending over. By the end of the post, you will see how much this guy needs a table! In fact, I think I will bring one just for him to the next ride or race.
Yesterday, Joe and I drove up to the Mohican State Forest near Loudonville, Ohio for a ride. I've been wanting to ride there for awhile, so since we had the weekend off, we headed that way. I was supposed to meet a friend there, but she was running late, so we took off. (don't worry, I am not mean - she didn't get there for another 45 minutes to an hour) Anyway, we decided to do our own thing instead of riding together. Neither one of us knew an approximate ride time for the trail, that was the reasoning.
The trail was awesome - 98% dry and totally fast. Some improvements had been made since we were there over the winter. We also ran into several other riders out on the trail. I have to say it's almost as busy as Alum Creek. I felt good and was happy with my ride, so the next day (today) we decided to take it easy.
We met up with our winter riding partner Andy Johnson at Huffman, as well as his friend who's now our friend 'Mike'. Mike recently bought my GF Rig, which he was riding for the first time today, glad to say he liked it, sad to say I miss it.
Anyways, I noticed as we were unloading bikes and such that Andy kept bending over to do things. I would've gotten more pictures of this bizarre happening had I noticed it earlier. He performed almost every task on the ground!
I will keep adding pictures as I go on with my story, although I may run out of things to talk about. He bent over so much, that I think he subconciously got Mike to do it!
Andy was also on a Single Speed today, riding his brand new 2008 Gary Fisher Rig, which I think he liked. I didn't ask him, I'll have to do that. Anyway, he sold the fork and was using a rigid fork made of carbon fiber. Not really sure why he'd want to torment himself like that, whatever. Joe and I messed with him real good, it was so funny. I let Mike go ahead of us and took off behind him, Andy behind me and Joe behind him. Joe knew just what I had in mind! I put it in one-one (granny gear) up the inclines to force him to go slow. (for friends and family, this meant he had to work harder since he only had one gear) Joe on the other hand was rubbing Andy's rear tire with his front. haha It was funny - guess you had to be there.
Needless to say, we had a good time with some friends on our weekend off.
Andy - get a table!!!

What's your thoughts on the Mohican Trail? What's your favorite trail?

You're a goof ball! I was wondering what you were doing with the camera. You know there was a reason for all that bending over. My hamstrings felt so tight! I was trying to stretch them out as much as possible. The rigid rig is awesome. Lots of fun riding rigid and climbing is so much more enjoyable. Good fun.

Bob- I love the Mohican State Forest. I really like having one big loop to ride instead of having to do multiple laps. The trail also has a little bit of everything. I'd have to say it's my favorite trail.
Andy - yeah, yeah. Sure you were stretching! Glad to hear you like your new Rig, can't wait to get another one this fall.

I'll donate to the 'table fund'.
I don't need to see more of that.
